Inside the Sunbreeze Hotel in San Pedro, Belize, there is a small massage studio that practices the power of human touch: The Art of Touch Massage Studio, just off the lobby near the Art Gallery. Karen Taylor, the owner and licensed therapist, came to Belize from Toronto, Canada, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in massage therapy and the healing arts.

Among the therapeutic services she offers is a practice called Reiki (pronounced ray-key) a natural healing treatment in which Taylor uses a series of hand positions placed on the client's body to convey human energy flow. Reiki a Japanese word meaning "Universal Life-Force-Energy." She also offers aromatherapy massage- the use of essential oils to help elevate your mind and body to complete relaxation.
